Orlando Law Firm SEO Consultant Service

Franklyn’s Bay - If you're here reading this you're probably a law firm or an attorney interested in better rankings and online presence.

Since Google's launch of Panda the landscape is very, very different. Some of you fell off the search results entirely and many are still on thin ice. As Google finishes rolling out all of the phased changes they have scheduled, more of you will find it hard to hold onto any decent search engine rankings.
This is actually by design, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt once said, "Brands are how you sort out the cesspool". It's become completely clear from this point on Google will favor organizations who have successfully built a online presence around their brand.
So what exactly is Google looking for in your law firms online presence/brand? Today you're online presence/brand is broken into three different pieces; your website, your Google places and your off page factors.
These three elements and how you measure up against your competitors will determine if Google will place you at the top of the search engine results or not. If just one of these factors are weaker than your competitors you lose. It's just that simple!
The point is your competition is becoming more aggressive and Google's algorithms continue to become more refined. If you can appreciate the impact of those two factors it should make you pause and think about how you approach your short, mid, and long term strategies for your law firms model and branding.
Now there's a reason why up to this point I haven't tried to sell you on anything or explain what needs to be done. The truth is, there is no simple answers and each and every one of you have unique needs based on your competitors and marketplace.
When it comes down to it talk is cheap.
I am certain each and every one of you have been approached several times by telephone, e-mail and in person by some so called SEO firm or individual. It doesn't matter if they were local or an offshore firm they all promised the same thing.
If you've looked around my website you'll see I've been warning about this for years. But, I don't wanna start the "I told you so" conversation, especially at this time when many of you are struggling to survive during these turbulent times.
Just keep in mind,
salespeople use your uncertainty against you and will try to gain your confidence by telling you "everything will be all right if you buy what they're selling.
The problem is what is it that they're really selling? Remember what I said earlier; when I said google looks at three different major elements, your website, your Google places and your off page factors. Does what they're selling address all three elements or just part of one. Remember, "If just one of these elements are weaker than your competitors you lose."

Save your sanity and don't buy into the hype.
Don't pay attention to any one who brings up white hat vs. black hat hype. The truth is no matter if you're paying for somebody to do your SEO or purchasing a piece of software to help you better track your analytics. You are trying to give your firm the information and advantage over your competitors by manipulating the search engine results in your favor.
The truth is many firms are confused and in some cases misled on what exactly they need to do to stay competitive in this marketplace. It's easy for salespeople to prey on the uninformed to enhance their own bottom lines. The best defense is education, experience, and information.
Anything that your salesman suggests should be easily verified through Google's online information. Matt Cutts, Google's head spam fighter is one good source. You can find him at http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ and other resources online. After all it's Google's game, you have to play according to their rules if you want to rank!
Furthermore, don't be afraid to call out or question anything that your salesperson or SEO suggests. There's no mystery behind search engine optimization no silver bullet or magic potion. It's just a long hard list of grunt work that has to be tended to day in and day out.
